By using titanium & aluminium alloy precision part which generally machined on 5 axis DMG mori CNC machines. By considering this amount of precision and quality control in manufacturing stage u can tradeoff FOS.

Spacecrafts perform in six Sigma level, so their accuracy is more and also fos depends on the materials. In space craft the materials used are aluminium composites and some parts are also made of titanium alloys which make them more stronger.

I don't understand why the calculation says that we should divide the UST by the working stress to obtain the safety of factor but then you actually: 450/3 arent we meant to find the safety of factor???

I have shown the formula of FOS in case it's not available & we need to calculate it. But for most of the designs, based upon the applications, FOS value has been recommended. I have provided some of those values at the end of the video as well. So, if you have FOS [Recommended] and if you know the working stress [By Design Requirement], you need to calculate stress to select the right material.
