I like that you added the black dots to identify the black keys. Was thinking about doing just that.😊 I appreciated the advice in this video. Good work.

Well, that's quite intersting! So, if I understood correctly, Reason timeline is used to kind of switch between different patches/sounds/banks of the Combinators, right?

Thanks shamp! I’ll definitely sheck out your sheat sheet next time I’m shallenged with shord progressions and low-frequency bass shimes across my pattern shains, while shilling on my model:shicles😜 Seriously though, tickling Schwedish accents aside, thanks a lot mate!❤

Hi Rico, thanks for the cheat sheet! I’ve listed to your song. I definitely recognise snare and one of the hats from MC. Maybe also lead at 0:39. Honestly lost synth and tones could come from there 😂

Hi Pierre! Thank you for listening - I’m happy you did! That is correct, snares, and hats are from the Model Cycles, as well as the kick and FM-synth chords which are played in reverse. Again thanks for listening and commenting 👊🙏

@@ricobenavides I like your chart, trying to translate it to the Model Samples. I will add an arrow to your chart for the rule of the diminished chord.

How are you recording the chords into the MC for playback?

I’m entering them into the step sequencer.

hi, I can make a whole track with this machine
@optuyiamusic5887

I'm asking you if you can make an entire track without needing anything else. Thanks
@ricobenavides

You sure can with some assistance! Patterns can be sequenced to form a song. There is no song mode and you can’t export a sound file containing your song, so you would need a recorder to capture your song while playing/sequencing it live.

@@ricobenavides and what machine do you recommend to do everything?
@ricobenavides
8 ай бұрын
Depending on your budget you might want to look into the Synthstrom Deluge, Akai MPC or Akai Force, or a maybe the newly released Yamaha Seqtrak which looks pretty good for a entry-level groovebox. I also recommend buying used gear to keep costs down - I’ve bought many pieces of gear used.

I have no experience with that one, but I believe it is focused on percussion, so it might not be the all-in-one box you are searching for.

Just learn you're scales, pentatonic scales sound better? Says who?
@ricobenavides

It’s a common practise to use the pentatonic scale for lead melodies, especially in EDM. I took Kygo’s monthly class in January - he mentioned this as well.
