pro tip: if its been more than a year since the last wash- your car will not be spotless and shiny after one wash. There's normally build up on every car, so it's best to try to wash your car every couple weeks even if it's just a quick scrub down. My dad's the one that told me that one. In the end, your car will get cleaner and cleaner with each wash and look brand new in no time.

I'd love to see a video on bicycle care; like maintaining the chain, repairing punctures, etc. Thanks for all the helpful content!

It would be interesting to maybe see traffic laws related to cycling incorporated too, because I feel like a lot of drivers as well as cyclists don't know the rules as well as they should.

LeighAnna while that probably would be beneficial up to an extent, given that the channel has such an international audience with varying traffic laws, that may only be useful to an American audience. If I was American I probably would find that useful though

I definitely second this idea, specifically for the funeral Its not something youd want to think about but theres a high likelihood that youll have to plan one someday, and you wont be in an emotionally stable state to learn on the fly when it happens

The dirt blows enough where I live that doing more than giving her the old drive through car wash a couple of times a year is basically pointless. I also once continued to drive a car totalled out by hail damage, so maybe my level of give-a-damn about the exterior appearance of my car is not for everyone. 😂

I like how you mentioned the two bucket system!! And if you’re trying to be really careful not to get swirls, try drying in one direction with straight “lines”.

Whatever you do, don't use a brush. I used a brush on my first new car and put little scratches all over it after a few months.

A few errors, you don’t need 2 buckets for the wheels. You can use only one bucket. Don’t go in a swirling motion as that can cause swirl marks which makes the paint look bad

you should also check if there are specific requirements for the ground your washing your car on. In Germany the Ground has to be completely covered with asphalt to ensure that no motor oil or other dangerous chemicals that might come of can seep i to the ground

How would motor oil get on the outside of a car? And if the outside of a car is that covered in dangerous chemicals, wouldn't rain be a problem, too?

Pendlera if I wasn't clear enough the point of my comment was to explain why washing your car on some kinds of floors is illegal in Germany and not to give my personal opinion

Oh, that wasn't aimed at you, it just seemed like an odd law to me. Like, of all the pollution that a car creates, the dirt that comes off from washing the outside seems to be the least likely to cause harm. And if you're worried about the soap, it would still end up in the gutter and eventually in the ground.

Are there automated car washes that can wash large vehicles.

Two bucket system is a great idea. However, there’s a lot of cringe here. To start, get rid of that Armour All on the shelve in the background. That’s the worst stuff for your car. Next, wheels and tires aren’t the same thing. You say wash the tires but proceed to show a demo on wheel washing. With that, don’t ever use dish soap on your car. Only use car soap. Car soap is designed for a car and dish soap tends to be too harsh. Next, no need to dry your wheels and tires when your going to wash your car, it’s redundant, they’re just going to get wet again. Next, when drying a car, use a chamois, it does the best job at removing water without causing surface scratches to the car. Finally, I hate the toothpaste idea, but if you must do it, it’s always best to hit the head light with a little carnauba wax or something similar after, to keep the headlight from fogging over so quickly again.

Since we should wash from top to bottom, why go to the wheels first? And to my experience, gently rubbing car surface with regular cloth and water will make my car shine enough. And it is much more environmental friendly and energy saving.
