My biggest pet-peeve about messy cars is when the owners don't have the decency to at the very least remove all the items they don't want thrown out. I personally would have a "everything left inside gets thrown out" policy that the customer has to sign because the last thing I need is someone accusing me of stealing their garbage.
@evohead
5 жыл бұрын
This is exactly why I tell customers to remove everything they want to keep. You should not have to sort through their junk to determine what stays. That also prevents the customer from accusing you of stealing something out of their vehicle. Furthermore it takes time to sort junk out of a vehicle and time is money!
@TheScotttP

Customer: Yeah, hey guys! Listen, I'm dropping off my car for a detail and I'm spending as much time telling you about the random shit I left in my car, what I want removed, and what I want left in there, rather than removing all the useless stuff that's going to be in your way while doing the detail. What time can I can I pick up my whip? Detailer: Yeah, get the fuck out. ... That's how this video should have started and ended.

I like to remove the seats when I do my cars. Makes it easier to clean the interior parts next to the seats, gives you more mobility. With the seats out you can usually fold them open more and clean the crevices better. I've seen some nasty seat belts as well. so Soiled they would no longer retract into the spool.

I had a student back when I was teaching come to class in a car that had both back seats and the passenger seat piled high with food wrappers, bottles, etc. I saw rats exit the car twice, and saw a snake going in, all through a rusted-out bottom corner of one of the back doors. That, along with his body odor, got so bad we had to require him to clean up before he could park in the lot or enter the building. He was a health hazard on wheels, literally and figuratively. I felt bad for him: he'd fallen into depression after losing a close family member he'd been caring for, and just let himself go. We did what we could to let him know we were on his side (rather than on his case) and steered him toward getting some help. He did turn himself around and graduate and get a decent job, but when he was near rock bottom he was a lot to deal with. So, y'know, not everyone who is saying that car isn't all that dirty is a slob. Some of us have just Seen Things.

lol I thought I'd have to, but whatever the detailer did, he fully restored them. They look and smell like new and it's now a month later..still smelling fresh. I would charge extra because if you as a consumer don't have 5 minutes out of your day before you come to my shop to throw away trash then you are a sad car owner and deserve a higher price for your detail. The time I could have spent cleaning the interior is now used on sorting and throwing away trash.

I wish I knew of a detail shop like you guys. Last guys I took our car to, I swear they pulled it into the garage, wiped off the dash, vaccumed, then charged me $150. Could have done a better job in my driveway, lol.

Please i need help. I need to remove super glue from my black leather seat. Its little spot, but in some angles i still see somethink like light reflection from that glue. Is there some way to gently clean it? Thank you so much

Hey buddy, thanks for watching. I would recommend some Nonsense that's diluted 20-1 and use a tiny amount sprayed onto a microfiber towel. You could also try the leather cleaner which is PH balanced and won't effect the texture of the leather.

I work at a detail shop and I wish that was classified as a bad one but at my shop that's a good one easy to do just takes some time

Whats the difference between the nonsense all purpose spray and the innerclean interior quick detailer spray?
@ChemicalGuys
7 жыл бұрын
Hi Lindsey, thanks for the question. Nonsense is our colorless cleaner that is able to clean not only interior, but exterior surfaces as well. It's able to break down grime from carpets, tires, stains, engine bays, and much more. This formula is extremely concentrated and can be diluted to make up to 20 gallons out of the 1 gallon of Nonsense. It also disinfects and eliminates odor. The Inner Clean is strictly for interior. It cleans, conditions and protects, unlike Nonsense. It's also providing advanced UV protection against cracking and fading; with a hint of pineapple scent. It also has anti-static technology to repel dust and dirt from treated surfaces. Thanks for being part of the Chemical Guys family!

Hey Jeff, how are you? That would be a sick Christmas gift, you can never have enough Chemical Guys products to maintain the look of your truck. I always look at the buildup on my car, and think about my next detail. My windows are especially dirty, I can't wait to hit it with the Signature Series Wheel Cleaner. Maybe you should send your family and friends a Christmas wish list, drop some hints :). Stay tuned Jeff, more great videos heading your way. C.G. Alex -

For the love of Pete, through away the sugar packets. You'll be saving them, not only from a dirty car, but from diabetes.
