I found this video one day too late.. but i still watched it to make sure i didnt miss anything. I got a tip from an old mechanic that id like to add here: Before cracking it up, run it in a ultrasonic cleaner at 70'c for a couple of hours. This makes the gaskets come loose easier. This video works just as good for a yamaha grizzly 350 2007. Also behind the cap you didnt open there is a springpressured steelball that can get clogged. This prevents the atv from backfiring when you turn it off. Thumbs up..

My raptor 350 pops out the exhaust when I turn it off. What could it be? And it also only runs with some choke.

Definitely sounds like a dirty carburetor having to run it with some choke. The backfiring could be caused by the same or there could be a lot of carbon build up in the cylinder.

At 23:11 you take out another jet or whatever, my carb has almost like a cover on it that just has a pin hole, how can I get that off to get to the point I can use a flat head to remove it?

Hi I’m leaking fuel out the over flow and will only stop when fuel is turned off. Carb has been taken apart and cleaned well but still have the same problem. Iv checked the float needle etc raptor 250
@ils360

Check the float and make sure it's actually floating Make sure it's not filled with fuel. Then check your needle and seat making sure that there's nothing up inside behind the seat he also might need to remove and check the needle seat itself there's an o-ring that goes around it and if it is torn it won't meter fuel if you're still unable to find anything you might need to just buy a new needle and seat and replace it as a unit

At 9:20 the piece you are holding that came out with the float. The needle in it moves on mine but the whole entire piece is stuck in the carburetor on mine

Soak it with lots of carburetor cleaner try cleaning out the varnish on either side with a little pic or sewing needle or something that you can get in there without scratching continue to soak with carb cleaner until you can get it to move. Might just have to buy a new needle and seat for your carburetor Make sure you buy the same size there's actually larger and smaller ones for some carburetors

Hey man great info. I’m struggling to connect my choke when I’m putting a new carb on my raptor 350. I’m not sure if my new carb is different or not but it looks the same as the original. Where the choke cable goes into the carb how do you connect it inside?
@ils360
Жыл бұрын
If it is the barrel style there is a little slide that needs to come out for you to lock the cable on to it and slide it back in.

How did you put that silver nozzle at 29:30 back in ? I dont know how hard can I push it and I cant get it back in...

That was definitely a hard one to get back in that has to be perfectly lined up straight to go back in.

@@viliamjakab6158 if you've got something flat to put across it it would work best like a punch or something like that. You can also likely tap it to get it to move
