How long do I wait after the conditioner spot test? How long do I wait after applying the cleaner before applying the conditioner?

If you don't see any color change or other negative affects after an hour, you can consider that a sufficient time for the spot test. For best results, after cleaning the leather, please wait for the leather to be completely dry before applying the conditioner. Thank you for the questions and for your business!

Hi and thanks for your question! Our leather cleaner does work on faux leather. However, the leather conditioner does not. A little of our product goes a long way so I would recommend starting with a small amount. You can always purchase more if need be. Thanks for your business and please reach out to us at info@leatherhoney.com with any further questions.

The conditioner has caused dark streaks and spots that won’t come out.

Hi Nate - As you likely know, leather is a natural object and thus has inconsistencies. Darker areas can be caused by 1) the conditioner bringing out the original color of the leather which was darker there to begin with 2) the leather in that are was more porous and thus absorbed more of the conditioner or 3) too much conditioner was applied in that area. Regardless of the cause - it's no reason for alarm. The area will lighten up over time as the conditioner is fully absorbed and spreads evenly throughout the leather. Hope this helps and thanks again for your business! Shawn

Thank you for your reply. Because the product is so thick, it was difficult to distribute evenly and caused over saturation in quite a few spots. It has been over 48hrs and the stains remain. My furniture is “ unprotected” leather and this product was advertised as safe for that. You’re certain the stains will go away over time?

@@NateTaber Hi Nate, the thickness of the product is one of the reasons that it is able to penetrate into the leather's pores and condition the leather. Given that it sounds like you oversaturated some areas which is why it is darker there, it can take many days and potentially weeks for the dark areas to lighten up. If you have any further questions, please email me at info@leatherhoney.com since you will get a quicker response there. Thanks again!
