This was a mid-level cleaning and lubrication procedure. A light-cleaning procedure for me would only involve running a bore snake down the barrel (or perhaps a couple patches), a light wipe-down with a microfiber towel, and re-lubrication. Likewise, a heavy cleaning for me would involve doing a detailed cleaning of the actual fire control components, as well as the internal mechanisms on the slide itself (striker, spring, extractor, etc.) This level of cleaning I only do as necessary.
