I didn't buy the baffle removal tool and I put a lot of rimfire through my Banish before cleaning and the baffles were STUCK. I found that a wooden dowel and hammer did the trick just fine. I put everything in my ultrasonic sink and it cleaned up very well, the one problem being that the sink ate away at the coating a bit, dulling the outside of the suppressor. So I recommend hand washing the tubes with maybe just dish soap.

You should also use semi boiling water with the dove soap, MX, jack of a good way of cleaning. It takes it all over Lisa, nice and shiny.

After I shot mine for the first time then cleaned it I could not and can not get the 2" extension to seal completely. I can't see the red gasket from the sides but I can see it if I look downwards at it. Is yours the same way? And yes I make sure it's all keyed even in the little notch inside the suppressor. I've not shot it in the 9" configuration since this afraid to mess something up.

Yes you can see the gasket even if they are all lined up, but you can only barely see it if you are looking down on it.

There is a keyed section in the tube. It is hard to see and hard to line up with the baffles! especially if you don't clean all of the carbon off! I don't think you have it on all the way because it is not in the keyed slot that is inside the tube.

Question- I just shot my Banish 30 for the first time yesterday. Something I noticed after shooting roughly 90 rounds is that and I’m wondering if this is common for shooting AR’s that are suppressed. Is it typical for there to be ALOT more carbon / black grime all over everything? I’ve shot this rifle many times and NEVER have I seen so much carbon. My hands and face were had a decent amount on it which has never been the case before. I was also shooting outside. Additional fact - I had to get my barrel threaded by Noveske and it’s a gas-block barrel. I put the gun back together myself and am also wondering if maybe I did something wrong. Thanks for the video!

Yes, it is completely normal for suppressed guns to shoot way dirtier then non-suppressed guns. However if you are always going to be shooting suppressed you can get an adjustable gas block and turn it down to reduce the gases coming back. Also they make charging handles that help a little in directing gasses away from the shooter.

@@TheLarkinsLair Yep. Was going to suggest maybe a gas buster charging handle. I however, have kind of grown accustomed to looking like I tried to blow out the fuse on a stick of dynamite a little too late at the end of a long shooting session.

Yes. The new flow through suppressors are supposed to mitigate that some but they’re not as quiet. You might want to mess around with the gas block adjustment a bit to find a sweet spot where it runs reliable but not blowing as much gas back in the action.

Everything is okay with your gun and suppressor! What you are getting is called blowback, which is normal with all suppressor use. Keep in mind that some suppressors are dirtier than others, meaning more blowback. Just remember to clean it often, don’t wait until you have shot 1,000 rounds, because it will be hard to take apart and harder to clean!

Yes, it will be as shiny as when you first received it after waiting 1/2 of a lifetime for ATF to approve you. CLR is AMAZING.. I used to clean all my guns that much... until I got a lot of guns. Now I am lucky to clean them each ones a year. So as clean as this suppressor was is good enough. But yes you are correct you can get it even cleaner. To be honest I haven't opened this suppressor in over 3K rounds now. It is going to be super carbon locked.
