🎉😊 I needed to reach out and tell you you’re the best thing since sliced bread after watching your video. I’m in Melbourne Australia by the way I went down and got some microfibre cloth’s and some isopropyl alcohol. We have 99% here which is great. I was very sceptical because I was researching a lot of vinyl interior cleaners and allsorts of jazz. I love my car to me it’s a collectors item it’s a Subaru 2003 WRX and I was really worried having this rubber texture on the door trim after a little bit of rubbing, not very much at all it has gone away almost completely disappeared. I’m happy where it’s at. I don’t want to go overboard and make anything worse than it actually is. I then followed up by a warm rag, hot soapy water and then towel dry the whole door trim just to clean it up and freshen it up. thank you so much my friend really appreciate your video

Have the same sticky goopy dash too. Tried with your method this morning on a couple of tiny areas and it did remove the sticky without discoloring…so far. I will check in the morning to see if it has still not discolored. If so, I will do the rest of the dash. Question…What have you used on it since cleaning? Question…I see that you posted this in Jan…it’s now Nov and wanted to ask you if it was still clean?

Yes once the rubber coating is off it’s off for good. I put some 303 spray on it for a nice finish. You can get it at any auto parts store. I have no discolouration anywhere. It is a nice black now

@@TheEddysGarage it is the degradation of the plastic layer. Aka depolymerization of plastic. Can happen to any type of plastic as it ages, or degrades. The speed of degradation can be increased by heat, moisture, etc. So it could potentially return in the future. When cleaning leather it is best to avoid long sweeping strokes, small circular scrubbing is better, though it does take longer. Remember that alcohol will dry your leather out so it’s recommended to use a leather moisturizer/conditioner afterwards. Oh and nice car

Hi! I have a 2004 VW Jetta that is covered with stickiness from the soft touch plastic degrading.
