@Kason Adrien Thanks for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.

Hello from Australia. Can I just say thank you for these videos on how to do numerous tasks in particular these on the Chevy / Holden Cruze. The videos have been instrumental in helping my son and I navigate the tricky world of working on cars. So far we have replaced the struts on his 09 Holden Cruze and recently replaced the VVT solenoid. Together we watch yours n like videos on how do do the job, sometime multiple times. This gives us the confidence to do the job ourselves and be aware of anything to watchout for in the process. Your description on what size n type of sockets etc to expect, are again, very helpful. Thanks Again

Going to do this on my 2011 Kia optima Turbo, has never been cleaned and no issues, but 100k miles. If issues would just replace, but since no issues cleaning should be good.

Forgive my ignorance, what is the benefit of cleaning this solenoid? What would the symptoms of a dirty solenoid be on the Cruze? I have a '11, 1.8L

A dirty solenoid can cause the camshaft timing to be wrong be out. You'll get rough idling. Stalling. Engine management light. Car might not start. Loss of power. Engine could blow up.
