I live the the country-side where it's all forest and lakes. At home (forest on property) and plenty of the forest in the area, there is the good moss that can be use in place of a scrubber pad. Our moss is also good for wounds.

Hi, We both use nearly the same method for cleaning dishes - unfortunatelly, I have no dog for supporting. Usually, I carve myself a little scraper from a slim branch. A wooden scraper is smoother for the cookware and does not scratch the surfaces like tiny stones do. For scrubing, I normally use the fine-grained sediments deposed at river's shores. The finer the better! That material is much softer than sandy or stoney material is. In combination with just a little wood ashes, the sticky resin residues from the pot's bottom can be removed perfectly. A dishcoloth may be replaced by a tuft of gras and the sun does the rest ... Thanks for the usefull tips and have a lot of fun out there! Franz, bugikraxn.

Great tips. This also works for titanium pots & mugs too. Not sure about anodized aluminum, think it would not be good for those. This sure does help on cutting out unnecessary resources. See ya on the next one.

Another great video bro, and the ash is a great tip, yup grease, ash and water makes soap. I used some moss last night to use as a scrubby at the river worked great. Anyhow great tips and nice video bro.

At home, if the food in my camp pot or my bowl doesn't have too much in the bottom and is not food that's a problem for a cat, I will let my cat clean it out till he's done and I finish the rest of the cleaning after that.

Thank you I use woodash for a lot of things my family thinks I'm nuts because it actually helps get stuck food off my pans. I keep a bowl of woodash at my sink

rub hand soup on the bottom of pots before cooking, it will help remove the soot from the bottom of the pots when it is time to clean them.
