Very interesting, also reminding to put rocks back which was interesting as there's a lot going on that you don't realise. Thanks for uploading this vid very helpful . Still think your vid on float fishing for garfish is the best so far though. I case you haven't read my comment on garfish video my question was , I noticed the sea was pretty calm if it was a bit more rougher would it still work or would float just come back to quick with waves.

Hi Barry. You can fish for them in waves up to about a metre

Are there any black lug locally Shaun, I bought a bait pump (not for black lug) to give a go at bait pumping for razor clams as they do in the States, didn't get a low enough tide at Ferry Bridge yet to create the pools that I want to give it a go in, I did get a few but really tiny ones on a .2 low tide and quite a few of these were cut in half (the shells on the tiny ones are very soft) so I quit (didn't want to just be at killing them for no reason)

David Storton There are no Black Lug in this area David, or at least none that I know off. To be honest you are far better off using salt to get the Razor Clams to come out. It is a lot of fun watching them emerge. Check out my collecting Razor Clam video if you haven't already done so.

I've actually been collecting razor clams that way for years and do enjoy it but in some of the shallow pools at Ferry Bridge you can't use salt due to the depth of the water so bought the pump just to try it as an alternative means of maybe getting some larger clams for the table. Thanks for your response and love the articles...DS
