The great thing about using mineral spirits is that it saves on your colored pencils. like yourself, when I discovered mineral oils = it was like magic watching the very light ayer of colored pencils blend together.

This isn't just a good refresher for regular pencil users, it's also good for people learning to use alcohol markers. Thanks for sharing this ❤️.

Looks like the Mineral Spirits smoothes the colored pencil so it looks like watercolor, no? It's lovely! Thank you.

Thanks Jennifer and Steve. I haven't had much time to watch KZitem in the past few months as my husband is very ill and I am his primary carer. Watching these videos motivates me to get my pencils out again and start colouring. Will focus on pumpkins in my one Halloween book, using your techniques. I have used paper blending stumps for years, but not like you have shown. No wonder I didn't get good results😄

I clicked on this video because I genuinely wanted to watch it. So thank you for the bonus of the OLO giveaway. I would love to join team OLO too with these markers. I loved your video on OLO too. I am so happy that you decided to the giveaway. I am not sure if we can get OLOs here yet and Amazon did not have them yet, so I am really excited and grateful for your giveaway. I hope that your channel grows. I am surprised it is not bigger already. Your content is really good, but your knowledge and skills are great. Keep it up. Can you please do another video on when and where to use alcohol markers and/or water based markers. I still do not see which is better when and why colorists use water based markers more. Thank you.

You 2 are such enablers for buying lots of products! LOL, I really like the idea of using dropper bottles. Why didn't I ever think of that??? Never learned that in College Continuing Ed classes. Luckily, I have lots of those left from doing Essential Oils. Oh, and I also have the stumps ... but prefer to use a couple of dedicated artists' painting pencils for that. Will give the stumps a "Jennifer" try again.

Hi. I am struggling to find the right watercolor pencils and pallet. For pencils I have the koh I noor, arteza and caran d'ache. For the pallets I have the koh I noor, sakura koi, derwent and winso and newton cotman. If I want to sell my watercolors do I have to use expensive brands like winsor & newton professional, Daniel smith, shmicke, etc. It seems I never make the right choice and everything is so expensive. Can you help me?
