Hiiii Brian!! haha I get that. Setting your white balance manually will already help you a lot! For this video, I forgot to set my white balance and it was one of those days that the clouds were moving super fast and therefore the exposure kept changing. I had to do a LOT of correction for this video, so I feel your pain. But usually by setting my white balance manually it doesn't take too long.

Just found your channel and I love your tutorials! Thank you for sharing! My one tip for colour correcting or grading (works for photo or video): when you’re done, leave it for a day and come back and look at it. It’s easy to get carried away or lose perspective when editing as our eyes and brain adjust and alter our perception. Giving some space and coming back later gives you a fresh look at the colour correcting and grading you did.

Hey Lila, what if you have different videos shot in different scenarios, how do you usually judge your color correction? do you copy and paste them across all adjustments and adjust accordingly or do you individually color correct them? I ask this because when i did it seperately and somehow the colors of these videos are slightly different.
@lilafromyoutube
4 жыл бұрын
Hey! I suggest color correction them individually because the color correction phase is about correcting the footage and making them match, not making them pretty. There's a few things though. If you have, let's say, 10 clips that are all shot in the same conditions, create an adjustment layer (new item > adjustment layer), place it on top of those 10 clips and color correct that layer. That way, your color correction is applied to all of those clips and that will prevent any differences. This sounds like it would work for you :) Another tip is to use the comparison view to match all the shots. For this, open the color workspace and go to "Color wheels & Match" and click on the button "comparison view". Then you can pick your reference frame on the left side and work on your clip on the right side to match them :) I hope this helps!
