we have this toss in our show this year, except it’s a single and a half, catching silk down instead.

We call these Mary sunshine’s because when you start in the cradle and open your arms up before you switch your hand that is a Mary sunshine so we call it the Mary sunshine toss

At our school we would cradle it down and we'd call it a signature toss

+Kallan Sposa Try "flattening" your release. When you go to the release point, make sure your wrist is at an angle with your pinky facing the sky in front of you, not directly above you, and your thumb facing the ground behind you, not under you. Also make sure the flag is literally at a 45 angle at the release point. Likely your flag is straight up and down, or close to it.
