You should get a smallrig 1/4” hotshoe mount and connect it to the bottom of the adapter on the Pocket 3!

That's awesome. My OP3 is arriving this Wednesday, and I have the Wireless GO 2. So, I'm all set. Although, I will probably use the Mic 2 as well for simplicity on some occasions. Thanks for sharing this.

I've found myself just getting static noise, regardless of the order in which I connect / turn on devices, as well as whether I plug it into the extended battery or directly into the Pocket. Ideas?
@SamKirwanPhotography

Interesting, but also frustrating! I’m not 100% sure though - are you using the USB-C cable that came with the Osmo Pocket 3 or the Rode mic? I would definitely start there - maybe try a different cable and see if that helps. I assume the mic records sound correctly when using it on other devices?

@@alejandroduenas4397 I was able to resolve, you need to update the software of the Rode mics. Plug your rode mics into your smartphone, open the rode app, and it should activate. Remember that you need to update both rode mics separately.

Hey this is just what I was looking for. Now I need a solution to attach the receiver to the camera. Cause now it’s just dangling.
@SamKirwanPhotography
6 ай бұрын
Yeah it’s not the ideal setup, but still great that they work together! I pop the receiver down my sleeve which is pretty handy, or clip it to the USB-C cable connector that’s plugged into the Pocket 3. Again, not ideal, but sort of a workaround!

@@thetravelingfoodies That’s a great call! They don’t, but I found one on Amazon, it’s got a huge listing title but it looks like it would be perfect: SMALLRIG Cold Shoe Mount Hot Shoe Adapter with 1/4'' Thread for Camera Cage Flash LED Monitor Mount (2 Pack)

stick some velcro on the side of the pocket 3, and another piece on the reaciever ... or use an elastic band

Thanks, does the DJI pocket 3 record the audio channels from the RODE wireless go 2 right and left as separate tracks?
@SamKirwanPhotography
3 ай бұрын
No it records it as a single track. I think you might need multiple mics for multi-track recording.

Will it also work with the Wireless Go ME?
@SamKirwanPhotography
5 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question. I’m not 100% sure but I would imagine so. The Rode website says that the Wireless ME has “complete compatibility with cameras, computers and smartphones” which is promising, and the receiver has the same USB-C connection as the Wireless Go 2, so honestly I would say it should work fine!

I was having the same issue. I connected everything like the video shows. Then i went to audio settings (swipe the right side of the osmo screen to the left) keep it at stereo settings and change it to -15 gain. I still got awful audio from the osmo itself but it gives me a separate audio file on my sd card that is crystal clear. I remove the osmo audio in premier pro and insert the clean audio file in its place. Everything synced up fine. Definitely a pain but its a work around

Hi, thanks for the question! I use Davinci Resolve, so I wouldn’t be able to comment on Final Cut Pro unfortunately. It’s really easy to work with DJI files in Davinci Resolve though, so I’m sure it’s straightforward enough in Final Cut Pro too. Loads of tutorials on KZitem I’m sure - best of luck!

Hi, thx for your video. Do you know how many audio tracks are saved on pocket 3 for one footage? I would like to have a separate audio file from camera and rode microphone. I’m afraid that Rode sound will be merged with sound from camera.
@SamKirwanPhotography
4 ай бұрын
I think that if you use the ‘Built in mic audio backup’ setting you can record separate tracks for the external mic and the internal mics. I’m not 100% sure if this works with the Rode Mic, because it’s wired directly into the Pocket 3. I think it might only work with the DJI mic, which connects via bluetooth - do you see what I mean? I can’t check myself as I don’t have the DJI mic. Hope that helps!
