Organic pest treatments are plentiful and can be potent measures too. Salt as well as being used for weed control can also be used in pest management in small doses too using the Bug A Salt. This is a playful way of removing pests inside and provided you are not spraying it everywhere might help you to take down dreaded pests like the Cabbage Moth or Diamond Back Moth (Plutella xylostella).
How to control pests organically
The best way to get rid of these or prevent infestations is to cover crops with netting provided the crop doesn't need pollination, to avoid growing brassicas like kale or broccolli in warmer months and at the first sign of leaf damage check for caterpillars. If you can see moths hovering wait until they land and smash them with a close range shot from the Bug A Salt.
I'm no expert on salt exposure in plants but it causes dehydration of plants due to osmosis. I did read an article that stated 70mg of salt per little of water can be impact plants and some plants may be susceptible to even lower concentrations, SO this isn't something I would do all over my garden consistently but it was fun last Spring when I was ridiculously frustrated with the damage these little guys had caused because i didn't get them early enough. Try at your own risk.
