Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for a step-by-step explanation of How to Convert Grams to Atoms in AP/ General Chemistry. The practice problems are fairly simple to follow/understand from start to finish, however, the last two exercises can be problematic. Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, equal signs are missing in problems 2 and 3. Professor Organic Chemistry Tutor, please correct these errors in the video.

Hey, I'm not sure if anyone would answer this but when you do this with molecules is it the same but you have to add all the atomic masses?
@safiulfaiyaz7038
2 жыл бұрын
are you talking about finding the molecular mass of a compound H2O? If so then yes you have to add the molar masses of hydrogen and oxygen here to find the mass of a single compound of H2O in its entirety H2O-->2H+O --->2(1.008)+16 --->18.008

may i ask why you use 6.022*10^23 instead of 10*24? question 3 on the video
@marijanascepanovic8970
Жыл бұрын
When you multiply all numbers you get 46,94 * 10*23, but he just moved a comma one place to the left (multiply by 10) which is why he wrote 10*24. p.s. English is not my native language so I don't know if I explained it adequately.

Could you simply skip the last section of the S8 calulation by unsing the individual molar mass 250÷32.7 without the last part. Please note im a novice and am in no way trying to doubt your knowledge with is clearly miles above mine hence why your teaching me lol. Just highlighting a possible overlooked easier way.

There’s 14 atoms in 1 mole of fe2(co3). It’s like the equivalent of 1 dozen and 12 individual things of whatever. Avagardo being the dozen, it’s a collective number of the crazy amount of tiny particles in an atom
