Dont put salt at the beginning. The beans may not soften properly. Add other seasoning like onion, garlic, bay leaves, ham, peppers ect. from the start to extract all the flavor but only add salt after 1 hour. Edit* Not the ham actually just the bone. Too much ham at the beginning also adds salt. So probably better to add that stuff after an hour anyway. Just onion, garlic, and bay leaves at the beginning

@@infodowieblue I mean if you want other seasonings go ahead. I usually like the savory sort of meaty beans. But some people prefer to have a sweeter tomato sauce or something like that. The main point is salt at the beginning is generally a bad idea.

Salt is good, even soaking them with salt is good. It is too much acid that toughens beans.

Inox doesn't let out any toxins. It's safe to like 500 hundred degrees. So don't say it isn't healthy ok.

Salt is good for beans. Even soaking them with Salt. Acid is what toughens beans.
