Projectors can get really hot and shut down when it reaches the limit. There are not many solutions to this if it is a design flaw where the hot air is not dissipated quickly enough.
In my case where im using the Benq W1070 and 1080ST the lamp unit is exposed once the cover is removed.
The flat exposed surface of the lamp unit makes it possible to stick a heat sink on to help let the heat escape more quickly.
There is no mounts for attaching the heat sink to the projector so we will have to use something like super glue, im not sure how easy it is to remove this later on but im hoping that nail polish remover can do the trick.
