Nice video. I suggest using distilled water for the flush, available at any supermarket. Tap water contains flouride and minerals which can harm the aluminum block and the radiator. A

You want to run your heater at full heat, max fan as well because the coolant circulates through the heater core. Can have the car running while using the hose to fill from the top with the pepcock at the bottom of the radiator open with your catch pan underneath. Not for long, just a few mins. Otherwise you did a great job. It’s brilliant seeing a beautiful woman working on cars and getting her hands dirty! Love it and keep it up! Cheers

@@bobross6677 The type of water is not the issue here, it's the fact that the residual water left in the engine block will dilute the 50-50 being poured in. The correct way to do this is either drain the block completely, or use a concentrate coolant and measure the exact capacity of the cooling system, then divide that in half and pour in exactly that amount of concentrate. Then top off with water and the system's final ratio will be 50-50.

Also it may be important to use certain type of water because of chemical reactions with metals in vehicles and plastic hoses . "softened water" may be recommended which contains sodium chloride a type of salt .. Last time i changed the coolant i drained it refilled it with coolant .drained it again and put new coolant .. Transmission fluid drain and fill video next .?

Yes indeed, using distilled water would be good as well 👍🏽 I did forget to mention (and record) I did run coolant through the radiator after the water flush before I closed the plug and did the fill! You got it! That’s definitely on the list!

So you didn’t test for galvanic reaction. The only reason I mentioned this is because you used systemic h2o with all of its minerals. You should’ve flushed with distilled water. If you are doing it your way; you should do it seasonally. Color doesn’t tell you shit. You want 50/50- 70/30 depending on where you live. I sure hope you use your process annually instead of manufacturer’s recommendations
