About 2 years ago I decided I was going to make a kids show. I had absolutely no idea how to use premiere pro or photoshop for that matter. This channel has given me the most valuable tools and best practices that have dramatically leveled up my efficiency and production quality overall. I'm so thankful for Javier's perfection and patience for making videos for people like me who are trying their best to become better editors without any education around the subject.

This is all new to me so I'm not in the 99% that you were talking about haha.. then again I've not been using Premiere for very long but this is still REALY helpful. My work around for popping effects on multiple clips were to pop them on an adjustment layer. I like this way better though, plus the flipping clips on the project bin is a huge help. Thanks for this, Javier!

I didn't know you could apply an effect to the source! 🤯🎉 I was always annoyed by this but assumed you had to add it to each clip directly or many times I'd put a clip inside a nested sequence so I could apply affects there via adjustment layer and then chop that sequence up in another sequence. This will definitely save me a ton of time. Also pretty sweet to see you can apply this in bulk in the project panel. Love your channel man, you have made a huge impact on leveling up my skills! 💪🏆👍

Knew most of these apart from the double click! Ha Any ideas on how to change the default LUT thats applied to Sony footage now? Since upgrading to 2022 it defaults by putting a LUt on, and you have to go Interpret footage, and do rec 709. Rather long winded seeing as though you didnt need to previously.

yo bro, I watched a lot of your video tutorials on KZitem and it really helped me in increasing my knowledge about editing and made it easier for me to work on my projects, especially using adobe primere pro, but i just realized that unfortunately your channel only has a few subscribers, and i I also really regret that, if we look at the video that you produce, it requires a lot of effort and time, and in my opinion the quality can't be underestimated either. Therefore, I hope that in the future your channel can get more subscribers or viewers than it currently does. but there is one more thing I want to ask, if I'm not mistaken you have built your channel for more than 6 years but until now you are still actively doing it. what keeps you in that situation whereas maybe if other people were in that position they would give up and do something else that might be more profitable for them. can you tell me about it? because I also have a KZitem channel but I often give up when my videos don't get many people watching and my channel doesn't get many subscribers.

Hey DwiMayoga, thanks for watching my material and great questions! The short answer is I am actually able to sustain myself monetarily with the size of my KZitem channel as it is right now. One part of what keeps me going is that I have a family and we have bills to pay, but I also do very much enjoy teaching video editing on KZitem. I am glad and grateful that I'm able to have a living doing something like this. Hope that helps provide somewhat of an answer!

now I understand, thank you for the answer. with your teaching style which is very easy to understand even for a very lay person like me, hopefully in the future you will get more viewers and more people who get knowledge from the amazing videos you make. because I think that's how it should be. good job my friend 👍

@Jethro7e

I didn't know you could apply an effect to the source either. That's huge. But I still wish there was some sort of "global effects bin" (in music software it's called a bus). As it stands now, if you decide you later want to slightly adjust the settings of the effect on one of the clips, you have to manually go and replace the original effect with the adjusted effect on all the other clips that use this same effect (which is much faster after watching this video). However, if there was a global effects bin you could "point" a clip to one of the effects in the bin rather then putting the effect directly on the clip. Then anytime you made an adjustment to the effect in the global bin, it would automatically update on any of the other clips that also pointed to that same effect. It would work like an adjustment layer without having an extra layer, which works fine if you're applying the same effect to EVERY clip in a sequence, but becomes almost useless if you aren't.

Haven't thought of this before but I am all for this idea. I think it would help a lot!
