Amazing someone using the machine to tighten! I NEVER used the machine. It's a waste of time. Pull by hand. If you need more strength, wrap some strapping around a piece of wood and yank hard. It also can be reused by putting a large screwdriver in and twisting the opposite direction of tightening.

I'm here because I recently got a job at my local glass plant where we make glass model and package them for car manufacturers like Honda, Toyota, Ford, Chevy, BMW, Mercedes, Cadillac, etc. Whole bunch of car manufacturers and one line I'm working on, sometimes we need to band these glass pallets together like this in the video. I already know the jist of it but seeing how smooth he does it will help me out with banding glass together on a pallet.

If you've ever used these plastic strap banding machines, you'll know that they're kind of a pain in the neck. The machine they show in this video isn't easy to use. I wonder if they could make a a system that allows you to put both ends of the plastic strap into a long metal rod that has a slot cut in the end. The metal rod would have a T-handle on the other end. So you would put both ends of the plastic strap into the slot, and then turn-it to wind the strap into a small coil. Then you would have an electric staple gun that staples the two pieces of strap together, so they don't spread when you pull out the metal rod. the staple gun would have a trigger button on the T-handle. I really don't know if this is possible. The object would be to avoid making employees feed the metal strap into a particular configuration.
