How would you cover it if it had pockets? I have 3-ring binder but it has pockets on front and back.

Did the mod podge continue to adhere with time? Ive been thinking of covering some mini binders but was afraid the mod podge might peel up. Thanks - great video

It’s holding up surprisingly well. The only spot that looks like it might come loose is one corner on the interior lining. Not that it has, but that it might.

Can I use fabric for this project? Will it still stick?
@HeatherDubarry
9 жыл бұрын
Yep. Fabric will work too. It does stretch a little bit when it gets wet from the glue, so don't pull too tightly when you're pulling it over the edges. The glue will alter the texture of the fabric, too. You may want to cover it with a coat or two of glue or a spray sealer after you're done.

Hi, what is the plastic you are using on the bottom & also what is the tool that you used to cut the paper?Great vid =)

+Daetyn Simon The plastic is a non-stick craft mat from ranger. You can find it on Amazon here: amzn.to/25gKph8 I used non-stick scissors to cut the paper. The brand I used are no longer available, but these are a great alternative: amzn.to/1PnsjOJ

I love it. How long does it last? Also can I just put a piece of scrapbook paper on the front without covering the whole binder in paper?
@HeatherDubarry

It's been on there a year and a half, and shows no signs of wear. You can definitely use smaller pieces of paper. I prefer using large pieces so I can wrap it around the edges. If you use smaller pieces, make sure you get the adhesive all the way to the edge of the paper. You don't want any corners or edges to lift and catch on things because of too little adhesive.

Would Wrapping Paper be too thin?
@HeatherDubarry
8 жыл бұрын
+Erica B Wrapping paper could be a problem, depending on how tough it is. Some rips pretty easy, but others are tough enough to handle the glue. Pick a wrapping paper that doesn't rip if you look at it funny, and you should be okay.

I am weird, but maybe it would be nice to cut evenly.... I guess it does not matter.

You're not weird! I slapped this together at the request of someone on scrapbook.com. Since I knew I would be covering the interior with another piece of paper, I didn't worry about how even and neat the cuts and folded over edges would be. It's entirely possible to do this more neatly, and that may make you more happy. I'd recommend using an exacto knife and ruler to get the neater edges, and use one cut out corner as a template for the rest of the corners. Good luck!

Yes, that drives me crazy too. Also, the edges could have been cut way back, about an inch at the most. Also, the corners on the inside could be cut at an angle so they over lap, keeping it from being so thick.. Great job though, I like it.

I bought this from a local art supply store, but you can make your own. There are kits out there for beginners, and lots of videos. You will have to look to see who has a good basic video to get started. I haven’t fallen down that rabbit hole yet.

I'm sure you can do it too. Just look for Stodoys plans.
