English translation part two 4.30 till the end The basket squeleton : the chestnut ribs ( lateral basket squeleton part ) you start with the ones on the outside ( shows with his finger 4.40) So it dépends if you wanna make it large, you start giving the form. I prefer to form it with the bark on, so it doesn't break, and take the bark out once it's formed, with a knife and cut pointy ends, just as shown. 5.00 he uses small nails to fix the structure on a plank because it's easier this way. When adding the ribs you Always procede two by two. 5.30 the weaving - i cut them in two and use my knife to make them supples. he uses brambles - Blackberry plant - and keeps mostly the bark. Stick the beginning in the écusson and then turn, keeping everything tightly pressed. Keep the pressure with fingers, most important IS to keep pressure even. Then he uses two flat pièces of Wood to keep the basket form while weaving. 6.30 see it looks better and is sturdier when the Space between the ribs are small. Then you go on weaving evenly on both side. Then you see, there are smaller spaces, so it's like knitting and you disminish. 7.00 to make them sturdier i add this wooden square underneath and some varnish.

English translation part one ( 0 to 4.20) Here are some baskets that i made, circle form, oval, water drop, once you know the technic - upside, downside, you Can Do what you want. Matérials - the matérials i use you find them in nature, near a rivelet. Best is to take the straight ones because when there is knot, it's going to break. Best long and thin branch. You Can work with Blackberry branches to. 0.54 - For the squeleton, 2 years old chestnut - one year will break, différent color, no knot or transversal branch. 1.20 first you form thé upper squeleton part. It's the delicate phase, you need to cut right in the middle and then to keep it like this, you need to pull on the heaviest part - not too fast ! 1.50 there i got two halves. If it's not long enough, you Can join two together, now i equalize it a bit 2.20 now we form using the thumbs - you don't pull it by the extremities, you use both thumbnail to model it. Beginners may break it. 2.50 if you don't finish it today, trace a circle on a plank, put some nails around, do the samewith the other half. Later i'll join them with small nails or ligature. 3.00 the basket handle, you do the same, then use small nails to fix them. Now we're going to make the part that's called écusson - video- you Can take one whole or cut it in two. It's more supple when cut. Then you clean it - make It more supple with a knife. Show how to cross upside down. 4.10 when you need a New one, you stick it under and then you cut trim it in the end.

Merci beaucoup !
