You mean the page contents are scrolling, but the search bar remaining on its place (i.e. sticky?) There are various scrolling strategies you can use with the cdk overlay, here are your options. rc.material.angular.io/cdk/overlay/overview#scroll-strategies

I have read that effect() is not stable yet in angular 17, is there another way to use the storage without effect() function?

Yes, if you want to keep it reactive i.e. based on signal changes, you can convert the signal to an observable and subscribe to it, then save to local storage. Otherwise, you can keep it imperative, by just saving to local storage whenever you add or remove items in their respective event handlers...

Thank you for the video , it is so helpful .I have an issue in my code , I can't seem to figure out the solution.And i will appreciate any help . When I put in my page another input field or an image (anything) the overplay doesn't appear on the top of them , but instead it gets detached from the origin input field and becomes under the bottom of whatever components in the page .I will appreciate any help on this matter . this is my code {{ option }}

Glad you liked the video! About the issue that you're getting, I can't say much till I can see your whole code. But from the looks of this snippet, I'm guessing the issue might be the styles that you've given here on the overlay related to its position. So the overlay should automatically position itself based on the overlay origin element. And you can provide offsets from that - so that gives you some flexibility - but giving an absolute style here might mess up other stuff for the overlay. That's just my 2 cents. Just out of curiosity, why did you need add this explcit in line style for positioning?

@@ZoaibKhan thank you so much for your response .I have included prebuilt-overlay.css and It has solved the issue . And when It comes to your question,honestly I was just getting desperate and trying everything possible (not the best way , and didn't work ) .
