In premiere this is called time remapping. Right click on the little colored fx logo in the corner of the clip in your timeline, select time remapping and then select speed. You can now add control points by holding control and clicking on the clip. (I hope that makes sense, there are plenty of good tutorials on youtube)

@jaejones4471

Rather than using the remapping feature what you can do is razor the clip where you want to place your keyframes, thus creating a separate clip and then just increase the clip speed to 5000.

not to be cocky but I was doing this in the mid 90s on premiere, granted I didnt have retiming so I just got crafty with spliceing and over or under cranking the frame rates. we had remapping but it wouldnt allow a 5000% ramp up so I had to splice and increase to create similar frane jumps. but It looks nice and adds a nice changeup to normally boring footage. glad to see you shareing the knowledge keep up the good work. side note in the 90s I had many people dislike this style it was to action packed or stylized for thier liking. I was always ahead of the curve with my editing style. glad to be alive in a world where my style choices are in practice instead of disregarded.

Yes, this is all 1080 and yes, you will lose quality when you zoom in. But for such a short clip, you won't notice much and it kind of adds to the gritty feel.

Yeah no problems, I managed to do the same thing with a Canon 6D at 30fps XD - just for 60fps if your output is going to be 30fps then don't slow down past 50% (half speed) or whatever it is for 24fps because it'll not look smooth!

Thanks! I don't know how to solve that as I use FCPX... But have you tried conforming the footage first? i.e. turning the 120fps into a slow motion 24fps clip?

So you never explained how normal 8:30 is actually slow motion. Did you do something in the project settings, etc.?
@dslrvideoshooter
8 жыл бұрын
You're right! The GH4 shoots slow motion and conforms the footage in camera. So when I import I don't have a 96fps video, I have a 24fps video that is already conformed or "slow motion" So the "normal" or unaltered footage in the FCPX timeline is slow motion.
