I grew up with Tracker music in the 90s, playing Acorn Archimedes games with soundtracks originally composed on Amigas. I Recently played Lemmings - it still holds up! Around 2008 or so is when I really got into making music - and it was through trackers. There's something about the downwards way of doing thing that really helps me bypass the ADHD I have that really gets in the way of me composing. Just last month, I took part in a huge tracker "swap" project where we passed modules on from person to person! I was unsure about the Polyend Tracker until I saw one of my favourite youtubers and tracker Legends, Ms. Mad Lemon signing it's praises!

The tracker strips back to the fundamentals of music making for me, you don't need a fancy studio to make awesome music, the tracker is proof of that. Record your samples, mash them up into bits and pieces and construct your track bit by bit. Make a track, maybe even make an album. Your music, your rules, the objective is to have fun doing it! Happy music making everyone ♥️

So much blue deaths in last months always when i produce making me bit sad. So win his gear would save me to keep making music and thats what i really want to do. Grew up listening to UK Garage, your explanation was spot on! As for the Polyend, and why I would love to own one, my laptop broke recently. The past while I've been selling all my synths, to help start funding a new laptop, basically sold all my synths, apart from one drum machine. 🥁 drum machine is very lonely haha...

I would like to try and get hands on with my music and sound and learn something new. Seeing Pete Cannon use the Polyend Tracker in his videos really inspired me to make more music but I always feel like there is a disconnect from me and the music when working in just software. This content was amazing, grew up on UKG, I currently make it myself and this inspired me to get in the studio.

I'd love to win this. Trackers are such a unique workflow that i feel brings out something that you can't get any other way. It's not even just the limitations of an old school tracker, it's more like the vertical vs horizontal mindset legitimately changes how you think about the music.

As a 90s teenager this was fun to watch, I am having a middle life crisis (and a recent ADHD diagnosis) and getting back into music now after abandoning it in my teens I'm looking for a sampler to be able to do music outside my computer with a couple of synths that I own, I find getting away from the computer at the end of the work day and getting into music really relaxes me and I have a lot of recorded samples that are not being used cause I have to take them through my computer first! Oh also fascinated by granular synthesis so having that in that box too would be amazing!

Unfortunately u missed the peak of ukg, if you started clubbing after around 2004 then the actual vibe and ravers u missed out on😢. The good old days of ukg were between 1997 and 2003, after that grime and hard style beats ruined the classic sound which ruined the nice 2 step/melodic sound producer's were going for, as an old head 😂😂😂 I feel the "pop" period of ukg killed everything.

I'm just getting into dawless production and looking for a portable solution because I travel a lot with bus and train. I just want a "all in one box daw", that also brings some Ableton vibes. Polyend is bringing that with the Tracker. Own synthesis, good sounding effects and sample recording/editing. Oh the granular part... oh man. That's just beautiful how they handled that situation. I think the Polyend would perfectly for my needs. dawless production and portable enough for traveling and just getting lost in it while being on the train or bus on long rides.
