This is very timely and helpful. Thank you very much. Now I know I have to enable external registration using Powershell. I do find it a bit counterintuitive - webinars should be accessible to everyone outside our organizations. Thank you very much for the step-by-step tutorial! 👍

@@DeLucaGiulian Hi Giuliano, do you know how to make an external user the presenter? I tried making this user a guest, and gave permissions to "People in my organizational guests", but it didn't seem to work. Thank you so much in advance!

@DeLucaGiulian

Hi Riten, You have to assign the role of "Attendee" to the participants, in this way they will be not able to start recording the meeting. Only organizers and presenters can record the meeting.

Hi, Giuliano, thank you for the video. I have a question, I am setting up a Webinar and have completed the registration form for the atendees, but when I share the link it opens up login form asking for an outlook mail, when I want the webinar to be public, and if you sign in it loads a blank page. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks
@DeLucaGiulian
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Xavier, thanks for your question, you have to run the PowerShell script that I showed in the video in order to expose the link to the registration form publicly, so everyone will be able to join the webinar without authentication. If you are not an Admin share my Video with him/her.

@@DeLucaGiulian Hi, Giuliano, I ran the script like you showed in the video, but it didn´t work. My guess is that means the account I´m using is not an admin. Thank you so much for the quick answer.

I think the Attendance report does not use or obtain user name and email from Registration page, but rather rely on either Microsoft account credentials, computer name, or Teams sign-on. Therefore, the report is not useful, especially when attendees join without Microsoft accounts, leaving multiple fields empty. Do you know how to match the records in the Attendee report to the Registration report?
@DeLucaGiulian
3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, this is a side effect of producing a webinar for everyone, because those who access have to specify only the full name. Potentially the organizer can create a Form with Microsoft Forms for example to share in the webinar so everybody can fill out it providing feedback and additional info like email.

Thank you for this. Why does it ask me to log into a microsoft account when I go to the registration page? Is a microsoft account a requirement?
@DeLucaGiulian
3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jac, It depends how you created the webinar, in fact, if you set "For people in your org" this will prompt a login popup to demonstrate that you are in the organization. If you set For everyone when you create the registration page no login is required.

For business basic webinar feature is included and you have up to 300 attendees, if you don't see the option in your tenant probably is not yet rolled out for you or you have to check if your admins have turned off the feature.
