Hey Guys! If you have been around my channel for any amount of time then you know how much I love routines, habits, time blocking and creating ideal schedules! I really believe that they help you stay on track and have more structure to your day. In today's video we are diving into my tips on "How To Create Your Ideal Schedule" and I'm sharing my thought process for creating my morning, work, and home schedule. I'm setting this up in my disc-bound Happy Notes notebook. Do you have an ideal schedule!? How does yours look?

I'd love to see any planner youtubers make this sort of video but for those who don't work from home or who have varying work schedules. For example, my schedule next week is 7am - 2 or 3 pm for a couple days then 4:30pm - 10pm on a Saturday. It's very rare for me to have the "typical" Monday to Friday 9-5 type of day and would love to see how to plan around different schedules.

I noticed you have times on your schedule for certain tasks and I was wondering, do you set these times based on how long you want to spend on them or did you time your self to see how long it takes to complete these tasks, and then put them in your schedule? Which would you suggest is the best approach to making a daily schedule?

This was very helpful to me as I have had a hard time knowing how to plan my day. I either get to specific and bogged down or I ditch it all together. Seeing you plan in this way has made me realize what I am doing wrong and how I can improve. BTW, your nails and hands look fabulous! I just followed you and look forward to viewing more of your videos and watching them with my 13 year old daughter (since she wants to be more of a planner).

I have been enjoying and admiring all your fantastic planning skills for this past month. I am amazed by everything on your lists; routines, planners. I notice you do not have breaks or schedule in time for food prep or cooking. I am sure you somehow fit that in/ I find it challenging to complete routines or achieve my goals. I have an autoimmune disease and I am often lacking in energy although the mind is willing. After my regular job I usually have to rest for a bit and its so frustrating when I lose my time. I also try to use the Fly lady routines for a few years now but I am not that successful in it either. Anyway thanks for all the videos, information, etc. You are astounding and are my hero! I don't list things here that i know will get done... like getting the kids ready. So these are the 6 things that might not get done unless i remind myself... #5 Getting dressed 😳
I like how you keep things simple and not too structured like a strict schedule but have the flexibility to complete the things within the time frame. I’m about to go into having the schedule of a full time grad student, with an internship, a part time job, and a KZitem hustle. I’m looking to revamp my schedule and this is inspiring!

Creating a daily routine can help you stay organized, manage your time effectively, and reduce stress. Follow these steps to create a daily routine that works for you. ## Step 1: Define Your Priorities Start by identifying the most important things in your life, such as work or school, family, exercise, and hobbies. Make a list of these priorities and rank them in order of importance. ## Step 2: Determine Your Schedule Consider the time you need to spend on each priority and determine how much time you have available each day. Be realistic about how much time you can devote to each activity. ## Step 3: Create a Schedule Using your list of priorities and your available time, create a schedule that incorporates all of your activities. Make sure to include time for breaks, meals, and relaxation. ## Step 4: Stick to Your Routine Once you have created your daily routine, make a commitment to stick to it. Consistency is key to making your routine a habit. ## Step 5: Evaluate and Adjust Evaluate your routine periodically to determine what is working and what is not. Make adjustments as needed to ensure that your routine remains effective and helps you achieve your goals. By following these steps, you can create a daily routine that works for you and helps you live a more organized and productive life.

setting up daily routines has always been the bane of my existence since a little kid. No matter how hard I try, it never sticks. It's almost as if I am allergic to it. 😂😂 I notice that you didn't list time to eat or a break (referring more to lunch. I am assuming you eat breakfast with your kids) and I don't believe you mentioned eating (except during your nighttime routine). Do you normally eat simultaneously with another task for you or do you actually step away from work so you can take an actual break?
@TheOrganizedMoney

I usually take breaks to eat lunch. This is a loose schedule and sometimes I go over a little bit. Or don’t stick to it exactly. Dinner is also included in my evening schedule which usually happens at 7:30pn.

My only constructive criticism would be that you needed to write down chores to remember like doing dishes, wiping counters, and making up a bed? Looks like those basics for functioning would be easy to remember (and in your face) and really should have been done before journaling in this planner. On the other hand, It would make more sense if you listed, say, shampooing carpet, painting a room, outside gardening, or a specific diy project you wanted to remind yourself to get to, lol.
