I really love this pattern and the explainations were great.❤I do suggest some changes though: On the white Part you could do doublecrochets instead of halfdoublecrochets And instead of four and five you can just put four in both spaces without it changing the look of it😊

thank you for the tutorial video! I'm a beginner and I'm really interested in making this and joining the CAL. I'm struggling a bit on making the round part because it doesn't turn out flat... any tips on how to do it??

if it's not laying flat, try loosening your tension. alternatively you may be adding too many stitches, make sure to double check and count. good luck!

Is it ruffling or cupping? I often find that when I add rounds to it then it helps to flatten it. You could also try blocking them, but I just hung up the finished blanket and gravity helped stretch and flatten things out

I can make the magic circle and do half double crochet, but my problem is that I can't seem to fit 12 into my circle. I can only get to about 7-9. I made it to 12 once, but had to undo it because my circle then wouldn't close. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong, any advice? The yarn I'm using is very similar in size and texture (I went and bought supplies before finding a pattern and tutorial). I am also very much so a beginner, the only thing I've made was a caterpillar that was actually supposed to be a bee lol

I'd recommend making the circle bigger, e.g. wrapping it around two fingers loosely and hopefully that should help

Help please. I am still stuck on the magic ring. What am I to to with the cut end of the yarn? I am watching and watching the tutorial and other tutorials on the majic ring. Are we suppose to unwind the cut end from the circle then crochet into it? Where is the cut end when we start crocheting into the circle?

You ignore the cut end as you crochet and then when you go back to weave the ends in you sew it in with the other ends - have you woven in ends before or is it a new skill?

Hi I would like to make this but I don’t really like the gaps between the flowers and the surrounding yarn. Is there any way I can do it differently?
@meemamakes

@@needstherapy649 not that I can think of for this pattern as the gaps are necessary to define the petals. You could try searching for another flower granny square on a website like Ravelry to find a square more like what you envision.
