Maaan, I understand how to crochet. I've watched a plethora of videos. I see what I'm supposed to do, I understand the concept... But every time I go to crochet, it never works for me. I start the first line, easy, can do that in my sleep. As soon as I go to make the second row to continue on, It. Never. Works. I've tried different yarn thickness, different needle thickness, weird combos. Nothing! But I can knit... I've knitted multiple scarves, I'm working on a bag, I could do a blanket but ik I don't have the patience for that. 😮💨 I just wanna crochet cute animal stuffies... IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?!?! 😭

Could the problem be that your chains are not loose enough? If you make the chains to small and/or to tight it is next to impossible to continue the next row. For me that was the biggest struggle when I first began to crochet because I would hold my working yarn really taught instead of letting it run free. I still have to remind myself to loosen my grip from time to time. Anyway, wish you the best of luck on your crochet journey!

Still one of my favorite memories is when a sweet old lady taught 7-year-old me vaguely how to do a crochet chain for 15 minutes in a hospital waiting room. I don't remember what the woman looks like, and I don't know her name, but I will always remember that interaction.

Always knew how to crotchet, but never knew how to connect them! It took me a couple tries but here after 15 years this video got me crotcheting rows together!!! 😊 thanks!

I learned crochet 100% online using KZitem videos. There are so many out there. If I can learn then so can you!

Uhm, so the first part I understood and it worked but from the turnaround instead of it well, turning around, it kept going forward just getting thicker, idk what the problem was but yeah 🥲

How does everyone get it? I’ve been trying for at least 45 minutes and I don’t know what I’m doing wrong! After many longer videos and two friends trying to teach me, I’m beginning to think I won’t be able to ever do it.
