last slip stitch is under the FL of the stitch for Edging Row 2
This scarf looks great, with, or without the edging.
For this project I am using King Cole Ultra Soft Chunky which was given to me by King Cole Yarns, and a 6 mm (J) Crochet Hook.
You can chain any number of chains for this stitch. The stitch multiple is 1. For the scarf I chained 122 chains and my scarf measures 60 inches in length (before I add an edging). I worked a total of 13 rows for a scarf that measures 6.5 inches wide.
Notes:
Stitch multiple of 1
The initial ch 3 counts as 1 hbdc
When I work into the foundation chain, I prefer working into the back bar (back bump) of the chain. You can work under the back loop only if you prefer.
To make this scarf longer, chain more stitches. To make this scarf wider, work more rows. Finish off after working an odd numbered row to have the top and bottom edges match.
TIP: you need to remember to work into the ch 3 at the beginning of each row as a stitch so you may want to use a stitch marker to mark that chain 3; so you don't accidentally miss it!.
Best wishes,
