Thank you so much for breaking things down so exactly. I just started crocheting. I learned the basics as a little girl from my great-grandmother. I remember just being absolutely mesmerized watching her little hands work furiously on projects, being amazed as the yarn became something beautiful and intricate. I never thought I could do what she did. But here I am, watching your tutorials and actually connecting with her even though she's been gone for 30 years. Thank you for giving me this wonderful gift. I'm sharing this with my family in the form of blankets and they love them. Your method of doing this stitch is a little bit different then quite a lot of other crocheters. Normally, the single front post one, is always kept front post (so if you turn your work, you do a back post on top it, so when you turn again to other sid for next row, it will be kept front post). However, you are alternating it 1 row front post, other row instead of doing it back post you are doing regular double crochet. Interesting. Maybe that is why it is scrunching, because I never felt the need to stretch my work doing the other method. Anyways, thanks for showing and alternative way for the stitch. I crocheted a cowl & winter hat set for my brother, and currently making another set for my mother with the method I learnt by others. It really is a yarn eater, o nom nom nom. But it looks so nice and once you get the hang of it, it really is a very easy 2 row repeat. Especially, when you are doing it on the round for cowl and hats, you do not need to turn your work. Iintend to make one last set for myself :)

I have made at least 4 (different colorways) of the Lotus Blanket. I had downloaded the pattern and made a copy of it to keep with me when I am on the road and I have had many compliments with it. I let whomever know about your KZitem channel and I how I love seeing what all you come out with. With this pattern I am using it all in red for I have so much of it, tired of looking at it (the color) lol, but when it is finished I will be sure to share a picture to your Facebook page. Thank you again. I wanted to know if you have ever done any cardigans?

Hi Nicki, ah lovely to see you over on here as well.😃 Thank you so much for your wonderful support, that is very kind. I haven’t done a cardigan I’m afraid, I really struggle with clothes sizing.🫣😅 Have you done any?x

Hello! Just wanted to say your videos are great and super helpful!! Question, on the last stitch of the rows (the chain 3) do you go in only one loop for the last double crochet or do go into both loops?

Hi Aubri, depends on the yarn you are using. This is what I used: Thumbnail: Cygnet Kiddies Kaleidoscope Yarn with a 4mm Hook For Tutorial: Hayfield Spirit Chunky in Sundown with a 6mm Hook. I hope that helps.🤗🧶

I love this stitch. I’m so happy I found your channel tonight. I have been down with Covid since the beginning of Nov and I love to craft but don’t have the energy right now. I have watched a few of your videos and you gave me the renewed confidence that I CAN do these. I learned to crochet a very long time ago but never accomplished anything. For some reason this is all falling into place. Thanks so much for your tutorials and calming sweet voice. ❤Gayle.

I hope you feel better soon Gayle, covid has knocked so many people off their feet. Rest up and crochet when you feel able to, even 5 minutes can give some much needed happiness.😃🧶

Your explanations are detailed and clear. I had tried this pattern before with another video and it did not work. Yours is so much simpler to follow. Thanks a lot.

When I see a new stitch that I haven’t learned I always try to make the stitch myself before watching the how to video. I couldn’t figure this one out to save me😂😂. After you showed me tho it is so simple that I think I may be dumb. Thanks for another wonderful tutorial, I literally couldn’t do it without you

You aren't dumb at all! To look at, it's really hard to decipher how it's done!
