14:08 It is called the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile variation because White's queen comes from all the across the board, from White's "base" to Black's "base", to capture Black's queen.

That's not how I've ever understood it. An ICBM achieves it's great range by essentially being launched into space, travelling in "sub-orbital spaceflight" for some time, then re-entering the atmosphere falling back to Earth (on the enemy). In the trap, the Knight is the ICBM: Ng5 is the Knight going into "space" (seemingly doing nothing important on g5, not coordinating with any other White pieces), and Nxf7 is it "falling" on the enemy.

Rosen is a great teacher. Quick and to the point. And Hannah seems to have some of the same troubles as I do with the Sicilian, Caro Kann and Scandi. Although, I am now more successful against Scandi and have found some success against Caro with fantasy variation. Sicilian I still play of the seat of my pants to get opponents off main lines...

In the variation of Tenn. gambit with d5 there's a move Be3. Seems like a simple developing move. Then IF black proceeds to attack the knight in the next move, you can do the same trick sacrificing the knight on f7, and if the king escapes on e7, you do Bc5 check, and again the queen is lost.

Anyways thank you for the video very intellectual man and very good at chess I’ve learned a ton from this video. But again nobody calls it the scandi just like nobody calls the Sicilian the Sicili. If we all started to do that to sound cool then what would be the point of them even having names what if we cut it down even more and call it the ani sounds silly right ? Anyway thanks

It’s called the Scandinavian defence not the scandi I’ve never heard it be called that in my life. I find it strange how you don’t call the inter ballistic missile defence the missi. Or the Caro Kann the cari. I don’t know if you think it sounds cool or something but it kind of just sounds like a mistake. Just call it what it is like you do with literally every other opening no need to change it 😂
