A 1” circumference pipe would only be about 5/16 diameter. A #4 (1/2”) rebar would not fit into it. But we get your mistake

So now I know I can bend a ½” diameter rebar rod using an anchor and leverage. Thank you.

Diameter, not circumference, and you keep saying you will cut the pipe, not the rebar.

You could save yourself a lot of effort (and money) by using an angle grinder or attaching a cutting disk to a circular saw to make your cuts, rather than using an expensive bolt cutter and maybe hurting your back in the process.

He made the mistake a couple of times, so he's pretty consistent in his incorrect usage of the term though... :)

You should use 2 pieces of pipe instead of using your foot to hold the rebar

That's a bloody hard way to mesh a trench footing. Can you not buy different width trench mesh over there? When I have to do a wall footing or trench I just buy either, 3 or 4 bar width and if need to be boxed I just buy the appropriate stirrups

Cool video looks like you do good work. Do yourself a favor and buy a demo saw if you have to make more than 10 cuts like that a week. I’ve went from cutting like that to expensive electro hydraulic cutters and now it’s just demo saw. Everyone uses a demo saw
