I’m an aircraft engineer and probably have one of the worst exposures to the widest range of dangerous, toxic and nearly always carcinogenic products. Fears of contact with carcinogens and especially oil based resins is totally viable and not the responsibility of the manufacturer to enforce is the use of protective equipment which given adequate ventilation of a work area means a minimum of gloves I.e a latex/synthetic disposable type and probably eye protection is also warranted. As 3d printing is new tech and driven by us early adopters mainly, it is up to the community to create and maintain our own culture of safety’ meaning Cancer and avoiding it is something to talk about.

That is NOT how you make printing safe. You might as well do the 120mm fan with an aquarium filter thing. Proper ventilation contains the fumes, extracts them, filters them and then releases them outside the workspace. Sometimes you can score old fume hoods from schools that remodel their chemistry rooms, but using components used in growing weed also work well. Get a grow tent to put the printer in, a decent extraction fan connected with tubes, run it through a compatible carbon filter and exhaust the fumes out the window.
@maria-wu7us

You need ventilation to direct fumes out of the room i think. More than a filter, you also need a fan and vent to suck up sanding particles and direct them out of the room. My guess is the filter isn't helping you much to avoid breathing this in. Wear a solid mask or even a respirator.

If you stop printing, put one of those toy filters in the room, let them run for 3 days, then maybe it could be enough.
