I'm not a dancer or anything but I really appreciate that you do this. Not many dancers take the time to give people advice, and give people a piece of themselves.

Hi Paradox, I have two questions :) 1) What is the difference between flow and groove? 2) should we practice everyday even if we dont feel like to practice? but if I stop practice for one day, I feel like I waste my time. I would appreciate it if you could answer one of this or maybe both questions :) Peace

In my opinion you shouldn't force you to practice, except if it's to work an exercise to make a move being clean or something like that, but if it's just to put music and dance around, if you don't feel like dancing I would say that you should not force you to, or you won't be creative just because of the fact you're not motivated. By the way, you always improve, I know there is some moments where you feel like you're stuck or you aren't improving anymore, but trust me keep practicing, and you'll see by yourself, but that's just my opinion from my experience so good luck

Hi, Kevin! I wanted to ask you this question right after I saw your first Q&A. Why don't you use any of the flips, the 540 kick etc. that you can do when you danse (for blow ups for instance)? This question comes from a bboy and I am genuinely curious because I as a bboy am always amazed by the way hip hop dancers move and I like adding little steps or details to my dance from hip hop. I feel it makes it more diverse. Vice versa, I've seen so many hip hop dancers who incorporate certain bboy moves and sometimes it looks really good. In your case, with your experience and understanding of the dance I believe you will be able to combine these elements really good together but I've never seen you do any flips. So there must be a reason why you don't perform them. P.S Don't get me wrong of course. I find your style great, intriguing and with a lot of energy. I don't think you need the flips. I am simply curious.

Hey Kevin. I'm in a dance slump right now when it comes to freestyling. I've been progressing really well this past month and then all of a sudden its like I cant dance anymore. I feel like my dance is everywhere and messy. so I took 2 days off of dance. but that didnt work. Any advice?

timothygats Just push through it man. Times like those are when you truly get better and improve. I was dealing with that for like a month or two..but I continued practiced and trying to creste new things and now my style is at it's absolute best. Those times where you feel like your dancing sucks and you can't create are the times that truly make you much better. Push through and you'll come out far better.

How do you practice restriction as in what is in the restriction practice?
@KevinParadox
8 жыл бұрын
+Left 9 When talking about restriction what i am trying to say is sticking to one subject in your training. Let's say in dance we have groove, flow and isolation. Restricting myself means I take away one or two of those options and only focus on the remaining once. In this way it will be more difficult for me to dance complete and comfortable round because it feels like im missing some parts of my dance. This is the restriction i have put upon myself, but is also what helps me to gow tremendously in that one aspect that i am focussed on.

Before camera's on: 9.5 After that: 4.3 I FEEL SO BAD ABOUT THAT How can I keep my freestyle always fresh? Thank you, Guy Thomáz Silva, from "MAB Crew", Brazil

Hey Kevin. you really inspire me. I am dancing since I am 4 and I am really not afraid about the dancing and movement. but I feel bad when I do it in preselections. it feels so bad as if the energy I have in my body is sucked out and I have to built much power to hold the audience. I don't know if this makes sense to u 😁😁😁 but it's a really strong emotion I feel during the dance. do u think this is because I want to grow. or do u have any tip? I feel a bit desperate about it haha. it's also a challenge to find a mindset to change myself. because I really love dancing. but I feel like the energy is so high, I can't hold it. best wishes.
