I'm trying to reassemble one, and your trick of sticking a pry bar in the handle to compress it is just the idea I was looking for. It's so obvious I'm a little embarrassed. Thanks

Best video I found! However, when bashing mine round to get the ears to line up I chipped away part of the ear. Is that a problem when reassembling? Also how can I bash it to line up while maintaining the integrity of the tap? Thanks!
