I hope you enjoy the video. What is your favourite pancake topping. I do love blueberries and banana on my pancakes, but my absolute favourite has to be the classic lemon & sugar definitely!

What do you roll your fondant out on? I usually use cornstarch but yours is so clean looking and doesn’t stick!
@CakesbyLynz
4 жыл бұрын
Hi Lauren, I too use a very little amount of cornstarch so that it doesn't stick on a very smooth surface. I find if the fondant has stuck previously you need to really clean off any fondant from the surface else it will carry on sticking. I really hope this helps.

Hi, thank you so much for your comment. I love Yolanda's video, but if you go to the CakesbyLynz blog and go back through the pages you will see that this is actually a copy of a pancake cake that I first made in September of 2012. I love creating this cake and love how even when people have similar themed tutorials there are always personal techniques from that cake maker that you can learn from.

I watched both tutorials and I prefer this video over Yolandas, mostly because I like how she went in with the tool to make the layers look imperfect with air bubbles and indentations. Pancakes are not perfect and they never bake perfect. This is an awesome technique.
