Saeed! Thank you. Since I'd purchased a new ThinkPad P16 Gen 2, it's fans were very noisy although automatic. I was unwilling to ask Lenovo how to solve this because they've been unable to solve each of the three, other *simple* needs I put to them. I've been cleaning the computer's external vents at least once a month because they were half-clogged with lint. So, after I watched your vid, I booted into the ThinkPad's BIOS. Two settings for power were there: High Performance and Balanced Performance. The computer was set to High Performance. So I switched the setting to Balanced Performance. Now the unnecessary fan noise has been gone for three days straight. And when the fans actually turn on they will no longer be noisy for meetings or recordings. And I'll wager the computer will accrue less lint through its vents. Thank you!

Wow! Thanks for your comment. So you adopted the solution for your own need! This is exactly what I really expect people to do 😀😀

I had the fans nearly constantly noisy on my Lenovo Ideapad 5 Pro 16 and sometimes fans running full blast without any good reason. CPU AMD Ryzen7 5800H with integrated Radeon graphics / RAM 16 Gb / SSD 512 Gb. I’ve now managed to get laptop most often 100% quiet by changing the following: In Power settings: 1/ Processor power management / Max processor state: reduce gradually to 99, 95, 90, 85%, etc. I’m currently on 80% 2/ Cooling policy: set to Passive (instead of Active). My laptop is now finally 100% quiet most of the time instead of the opposite.

Wow! Thanks for sharing. So you changed the power settings based on what is really needed, not just a general setting that should fit everyone but really fits no one. 😁

Choose Battery Saver. It should be Quiet option. 😊

I feel guilty every time I hear fan noise 🤣 Is it going to affect my laptop performance in general if I activated quiet mood?

🤣🤣 There would be no effect on performance! It is not similar to what you see in a smartphone "battery saver". On a Lenovo laptop, quiet mode, just decreases unnecessary fan speed.

@@thekey_ hi, does it mean i could change it back to ‘performance’ mode if i want to? Thank you for sharing anyway!✨

@@rinapuspita1760 Hi. Yes you can switch if you will. In long term, I haven't notice any bad result by keeping the laptop in Performance mode for daily activities. But for very heavy tasks that increase CPU and GPU activities, Performance mode decreases the computer performance. I have noticed it during getting video export from Adobe Premiere.
