So, how about a private page on your website with their video? You can include their story, some nice words and maybe even a downloadlink. And if they send this link to their loved ones, they might even end up scrolling on your website (yayy, to new potential clients). I haven’t done this yet, but in a few weeks I am planning on doing this for the first time. Love to hear your thoughts about this option :)

Yeah I think that’s a beautiful option as well. This would fall in line with a blog style format. You could then utilize Vimeo or KZitem to embed your video into your website, write out your story/summary from the wedding day/ and then link a download button to download the video directly. You would then have to upload the wedding video to your website as well for them to be able to download the full quality or link them to a platform like VidFlow, MediaZilla or EasyFlicks

I currently use KZitem for initial delivery which also makes it easy for my couples to share with friends and family. I then deliver a download link to the master mp4 file for them to download.

same. free and easy. I'm not sure if I understand the value of these platforms for me? Maybe if I was charging $3,500+ per video I would consider a better viewing experience.

Thanks for the comparison. After watching all of this, for me, just publishing to KZitem is the vastly superior option. Completely free, no storage limits, everyone knows how to use it, and you don't have to worry about subscriptions or data caps.

Can’t argue there. KZitem is the free option that makes financial sense. Aesthetically speaking and platforms that can go deeper with style, music, design, layout is great for brands who want to have the experience look and feel professional and high end.

I don't do wedding very often but I usually just post on KZitem for private viewing and then send a copy via google drive. But I have been looking at these products called motion books which seem kinda cool. They are 100 bucks a pop so you would have to factor that in with your pricing but they seem like legit way to give someone a tangible product that they can set out on their coffee table and watch whenever. Also while yes KZitem isnt the best, a lot of people have the KZitem app on their tvs already installed so they are able to watch their first viewing on the big screen with out download and messing with a new app.

The Motion Books are great, I use them as well! I also see your point! The only problem with KZitem is if you are delivering multiple videos to your client. Having a housed platform that performs like Netflix, you create an elevated viewing experience through simplicity and design imo.

@@WaywardNorth I agree 💯 and I’m currently looking at medizilla as I did not know this platform existed and I like that you have them all in spot vs either sending them a bunch of large files or navigating your KZitem links to watch other content.

Amazing video once again Wayward, I've been following your stuff for years now and you've now convinced me to get an R6. I am wondering though; how do you deal with its overheating issues during a wedding shoot? Thanks and keep up the good work!

Thanks for the options, but for me I can't see the advantage or you skimmed over: 1. What is the max mbps i can upload? 2. What mbps can the person view? 3. Can the client download, store on multiple devices? 4. What added viewing experience do they get over google drive? 5. How does this benefit the creator? Can you please expand on why these options are better? Cheers
@WaywardNorth

Google drives compression alone would be enough for me to switch to a platform like Vidflow or MediaZilla. Idk about the max mbps I’d encourage you to research these platforms and try their free options to see if it would be worth it for you. - Yes client can download (app functionality) - Aesthetic, professional, adding music, chapters, multiple films, easily shareable etc - google drives compression is just bad.. - elevates your brand presentation, demonstrates professionalism, makes your clients viewing and downloading experience better.

@@WaywardNorth I’m paying $35 a month for pixieset, which includes the image/video hosting, a web-site with SOME CRM capabilities(it’s all manual), and I think it’s a pretty great deal, however their SEO and analytics is literally non-existent. It’s still in Beta, but it’s super easy compared to anything else, just kind of basic, but it gets the job done.

VidFlow, clients are happy so far and they are quick to answer any questions. we use the standard package for wedding film delivery not sure upgrading is worth it.
