Awesome man! I'll show this to my local community, this kind of video is very useful. The only thing i missed was math at the End Game, like maybe you have 8 points of offesinve value in your hand and 16 defensive and your opponent is threatening 36 but they are at 1

Just getting in to FaB and this is an extremely helpful video. It would be awesome if you did more videos presenting a scenario to try and find the most optimal play. Alot of Chess websites have daily puzzles to find the best moves and i think it would be a neat idea for a game like FaB. Thanks for the content!

This helps a lot I only started playing like a month ago (started with the Part the Mistveil prerelease) and I now had two games against Nuu in CC where just turn one 13 damage and I tried to block as much as possible and then for the rest of the game I didn´t get a foot down also I never thought about pitching your good cards so you can draw them later for big turns so thank you

This was a nice video and it was smart on your part to present this information the way you did. It would be interesting to keep diving deeper into examples of this with various classes and lines because this is where the theory can go. Trying to evaluate various on hits, value of combo turns and when to preserve life total in mid-range matchups.

I wish you would have mentioned "break points" and equipment. Every card "on average" is worth 3. Either 3 block or 3 attack. Attacks for 6 and costs 1 card ( atleast ) as a resource. So 2 card 6. You spend CnC and they block with 2 cards. 2 for 2. BUT if CnC takes a card. That's "on average" 3 more points. So that's a 2 card 9! You are "up a theoretical card". Which means blocking CnC with 2 cards is actually worth 3 cards ( kindof ) Back to break points. If you can get CnC to swing for 7 ( might token as an easy way ). Now 2 cards doesn't stop the hit effect. That's bad. ( for you ) and GOOD ( for whoever is attacking for 7 ) Break points make the math complicated for the blocker, but can be mitigated with Armor. You block 2 cards and armor for 1 you used your armor which may not be worth a whole card inherently, to Save a card. ( blocked for a theoretical 4 )

I'm not super-experienced at the game, but it seems like calculating the value of your entire hand is more important than maximizing the value of a specific card. Card advantage doesn't exist in the same way as in Magic, because you draw up to full after attacking--you're trying to actually spend as many cards as you can, unless (as Majin noted) you're in a fatigue situation. But also I feel like he did touch on breakpoints, he just used Spinal Crush as his example instead of CnC. His basic point on equipment is that you want to use equipment to hit the break points that prevent on-hit effects from activating.

@MajiinBae
9 күн бұрын
When the value of attacking with your weapon and using the extra card to block with is greater than the value of the attack. This is highly contextual because of on hit effects and how the arsenal comes into play

For example 2, would you net the points lost to losing life and losing a card to C&C? So 12 - 6 - 2 = 4
@MajiinBae
Ай бұрын
No because you are attacking for 12 and not for 10 even if C&C hits. Losing the 2 damage from arsenaled head jab is already taken into account because otherwise the number would be 14 not 12
