Never in the connectors, only on the casing. As the name suggests, it stops current from flowing. If you want to clean the connectors themselves from time to time use electrical contact cleaner.

@@sierraenvy Absolutely. In fact I've also opened this up to some of my friends to get their input. I'm all for learning. If you use Google (as you did) and type in "should you put dielectric grease on plug pins.." - I believe you can indeed take your own advice. Just a thought.

Never put directly on the connectors. Di- electric means it stops current, not aid it. Use on the surface of the parts so they can easily mate and taken apart. It prevents electricity from arching.....thats what my momma said...

Wrong, this oil does not conduct electricity, just measure it with an avometer and see if electricity passes.

Not on connections...Di- electric prevents electricity from passing through the grease... not help! Use on the plastic or rubber that actually mates the parts together. Clean the metal connections with a pencil eraser or 800 and above sand paper for good contact. Once again... do not grease the connectors

I've been putting dielectric grease in all motorcycle electrical connectors as the OP has done here, for decades. It doesn't inhibit electrical flow in the metal-to-metal contact points in the male-female connections whatsoever. What dielectric grease does to is prevent corrosion in those same metal-to-metal connections. It also is an excellent barrier to water intrusion in the connectors.
