Appreciate how clear and calmly you presented this teardown of the dryer! I’ve been wanting to take my old Samsung dryer apart just to clean all the lint out. Will be referring back to this when I try to do this project. Thank you!

Thank you for this video 😎 just used it to repair my Samsung dryer. The heater element kit from Amazon was $25 and it only took me an hour and a half with your video to put it all back together saving myself $900.

My husband fixed my dryer, it was making a bad noise. First he changed the two rollers ( we have an LG) it was making a thumping sound. That didn’t help, then he saw the drum had a crack, not a big one but when it went around it made the sound. Changed the drum and that fixed it! Now I have a dryer drum in my backyard filled with potatoes one year and flowers this year! 🤣 that’s for all these great tips! When I started showing my husband this video he said right away he needs an electric screwdriver! Then you had one! ( I told him you were showing us how that’s why you weren’t always using it) thank you for all these videos! ❤️

The drum getting split is the worst. It happens similarly on older GE dryers... you eventually get a metal on metal situation and the dryer tears itself apart. I'm glad you got a new drum!

Perfect video, thanks so much. Links to the parts and everything. I ordered a heating kit and am excited to have a working dryer. I will say, its not obvious how to take the front bulkhead off, but this video made it so easy, thats the part I got stuck on and had to find this video to help with.

Very helpful vid. On trick I used to put the heating assembly back together. Use toothpicks to keep one side aligned while you assemble the other, then remove one at a time to place the remaining screws.

So my Samsung dryer has a ghost in the system, I'm hoping you can help. It's a little over 6yrs old. about 2 months ago, had a tech out to just do its first cleaning maintenance and replace any rollers if needed. I should add, dryer was working perfectly, just some belt squeal. Tech tool it apart, remarked how clean I had kept it, belt was good, needed a tensioner pulley, he put it on, put back together, ran great. Week later, went to do my first laundry since work was done, first load, great, second load, it ran about 15 minutes, then heard some clicking, then it stopped, all lights were flashing like it should, no codes, nothing, powered off, flipped breaker, nothing, after 5 minutes, it started back, ran 5 did the same thing. I polled the top off, to listen and video, the clicking comes from the lower left side, not the board, tool a chance and replaced the board, did one load fine, then clicking and stopping, every 5 minutes for the second load again. Called the tech, he came out, dryer ran perfect for him, of course. Just did 2 loads today, same thing, first load great, second load, clicking and stopping every 5 minutes, 5 off 5 on. This is getting really aggravating, I don't want to toss what might still be a good dryer, but can't afford to keep throwing money at guesses either. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, wish I could upload a couple videos to show you the clicking.

Hi, great video! My dryer stopped working a few weeks ago and your videos have been great to familiarize myself with how to take apart, replace parts, etc. I have the DV42H5000E/A3. My symptoms are unit powers on but does not start. I did the time dry test where it still counts down, and interface still works, etc. When I power the unit on and press start I hear an audible click or single tick noise - but the motor doesn’t turn on. I replaced the thermal switch, the other switch on the heating can, and the heating element first. When fixing this I found a roller failed but that was about it after a good cleaning, etc. I replaced the roller, put everything back together and still same click and no run… I replaced the PCB board tonight, buttoned everything up and still same situation. Single click and then nothing… Any ideas or suggestions on where to go next? The unit is only 6 years old so I feel like I should be able to get it up and running again?! Thanks, John
