Thank you for sharing the details of cleaning the blade. Also your experience with mailing them back in.

You should have more views. You showed me exactly what I needed to know, no jumping around the bush. So many other videos fail to show even half of this information. Thank you.

Thank you posting the video, great information! I always thought by removing those screws it would just spring apart and never go back the same way. 👍

Thanks so much! Love your videos, they are exactly what I was looking for when I began grooming my own standard poodle. They are helpful even now, two years later.

Any idea why my blades go out of alignment when I attach them to the clippers? Not sure what to do, I keep adjusting and then they go out of whack as soon as they snap on. I can only find advice for blades that aren't 5 in 1's like Bravura

I am definitely not an expert, but, here’s what I would say: when diagnosing what’s wrong, it helps me to see a clear image of how the machine is supposed to look. So I searched online for an image of the BACK of a 5-in-1 blade for you and couldn’t find one. Therefore, I will make a community post next with a photo of my 5-in-1 blade for you to look at, plus my Bravura without a blade on it. Hopefully if you compare the image to your broken clippers and blade, you might be able to identify what the product is. Secondarily, try contacting the Wahl customer service. I have had good luck sending in my stuff for refurbishment for a lower price than replacing with new stuff. Best of luck! (And check my community post for your images!)

@@GoodDogGrooming Thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I did order another blade and it's working perfectly. I'll be sure to send my old blades in to Wahl for sharpening/repair. I appreciate you're kindness🥰

I love the Wahl Bravura. If that’s your only dog you could definitely do his or her whole haircut (pretty much any style) with just those (plus shears bushes combs etc.) I find the Bravura comparatively light weight, yes. I am a bit out of the loop as to what other clippers are also good options. But many professionals choose the Bravura. As long as your dog is well brushed out, the Bravura will do the job for you. One issue that most cordless clippers have (like the Bravura) is less power when compared to a corded clipper. For any groomer doing multiple dogs a day, all different sizes, and with different fur types, I would recommend having a cordless like the Bravura AND a more powerful corded clipper. Hope that helps!

Hello Colleen! I have a Vetiva Mini from Wahl and I am no longer able to attach the head back to the machine. Is there a way I could reach out to you to share a video and get a tip on what could be the issue? I am not able to find anything online and I would like to avoid having to buy a new machine. This video was the closest to a possible solution. Thanks in advance :)

Lemmie work on that. I think I’ll set up an email address that’s exclusively for this channel. Thanks for the idea! For now, at 2:46 of this vid I talk about the small tab on the back of the 5-in-1 blade that sometimes breaks. Does the blade of your Vetiva have a tab like that that’s perhaps broken? The second thing I can tell you is that I have had good luck with the customer service of Wahl. I would try calling them to ask whether they do repairs for that model, how much it will cost, and also whether they have any resources you can access such as an owners manual or something online…. Oh, and one more thing, there’s a post that spins on the Bravura that’s only visible when the blade is off. It’s spinning motion is what moves the cutting blade back and forth. Sometimes it is in the wrong position for the blade to snap on. So turning the clipper on and off repositions it, and then I can snap on the blade. Could it be something like that with your vetiva? Best of luck! Let me know how it goes……..and I will let you know when I get a business email address set up!

@@GoodDogGrooming I was not lucky with Wahl customer support. I sent an email but got no answer. That small piece you referred to, seems OK. I think I got to a dead end :(

@@PedroGomespt Bummer! Have you tried calling Wahl? I have gotten through on the phone in the past. You also could try uploading a video of the problem you’re having to your KZitem account and I could maybe view it there… just let me know here if you do that, so I know to check it out!

@@PedroGomespt Cool I’m glad you were able to upload a vid! ok I have a theory… There are 2 metal prongs on the machine. One on each side of the spinny post in the middle. One looks a little bent. I think those might be what kinda holds the head onto the machine. If one is bent too far out of the way then it can’t do it’s job. Try gently bending the one back into place. Lemmie know if this helps, because I can look at it more closely again if this theory isn’t the problem.
