Thank you so much for teaching the following rules, Rules; 1-separate Prefixes and Suffixes of the root words.(working =work /ing) 2- two or more consonants between two vowel sounds (object = ob/ject) 3- one consonant between two vowel sounds ( a-first vowel is a long vowel: robot = ro/bot ,ro =rou;..b-first vowel is a short. Vowel brother = broth/ er. ) 4-two vowels sounds together; (diet =di et) 5- words ending in-ckle. (Tickle= tick/le) 6-words ending in consonant +le ( table =ta/ble)

In the word iron why does ON sound like IN and not like ON(for example, the bird is ON the road), I've also noticed this in listen, the En sounds like IN(like you IN the house). Also in the VCV syllable how can you tell if the vowel is going to be a long one or short one. May you explain these to me.
