If you let go the front brake just a little bit (just a tiny tiny bit, because if you overdoit will probably do a glorious flip) you can slowly move towards while burning the tire. Let the brake go and stand on the pegs, you get bonus points :) You need to slowly release the front brake and gain speed to a really cool launch. You forgot to mention the clean up afterwards. There is rubber fucking everywhere. It's a bitch to clean up, and it leaves burn marks on your fairings. Just keep that in mind if you're planning on doing it for the first time. I wish I knew this when I did my first burnout.

@@joebone3151 I can answer this! I was about to get a cbr500r but went with the N400 after riding both. Cb500r feels so heavy (I don't know if it really is much heavier, but it feels like it) and it's like a truck to move around, lane split, changing direction with low spee. For some reason the n400 feels so much nimbler that it's almost like riding a 150cc. Performance wise the ninja400 is very similar if not better than the cbr, the only thing that the cbr wins is gas mileage, that honda engine drinks so little it's amazing.

When you let out slowly it increases load on rear tire allowing for the possibility of the front to skip.... you want to break traction fast. If you have the front loaded (pushing forward on the bars while grabbing front brake) you will not have an issue

So I'm far from an expert or a stunt rider but I think its safer to slip the clutch nice and easy rather than dump it. The first time I attempted a burnout I dumped it and it stalled and I nearly dropped the bike. Yes we've seen videos of cars smoking their clutches instead of their tires but this is unlikely on a motorcycle since the rear brake is not being applied. I also would suggest 2nd gear on anything over 500cc because its easy to hit the rev limiter in 1st
