Hey pan i live in hot weatherd and dusty area and car get so much road grime and tar how is the proper way to clean it with less scratches as possible thanks
@PanTheOrganizer
7 жыл бұрын
You can use different products for tar and traffic film, such as CarPro TarX and Citrol 266 citrus based degreaser. You should also use an iron remover such as CarPro IronX and Gyeon Iron to remove iron particles embedded in your paint. So usually, you start by washing your car, then using iron removers followed by tar removers, rinse everything off well and then claybar your paint. You can then polish the paint or go straight to protecting it with waxes or sealants or nano coatings. See my videos to explain all of these processes. ;) And to make things easy for my viewers, I include links to all the products used in each video in the description box under each video. You just click the "show more" button under the video and you'll see all the products. How did you discover my channel?

From Pan's videos, and those of other KZitem detailers, it seems much easier to keep a ceramic coating clean than plain paint. My Glacier White Metallic Audi S3 Sportback had a simple Autoglym detail inside and out before delivery and 4 years on I've just purchased Gtechniq CSL and EXO to do my first ceramic coating on it. Mainly full snow foam pre and contactless washes have kept it immaculate so far and I expect the full ceramic coating to be even better. Nothing in this video that you wouldn't do anyway on a wash, so go for it!

Glad I could help! Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on KZitem as we surpassed 1 million subscribers and we have over 135 million views! I have been detailing for 27 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. A new car is never new until it's properly detailed. - at the factory, the paint defects are often corrected quickly by rotary polishing which can leave marks and holograms, so polishing corrects those, before you lock that in long term with a ceramic coating for example. - vehicles are then transported by truck, train and boat so they are exposed to the elements, industrial fallout, brake dust, rail dust, etc - vehicles are often left at boat docks (when transported by boat) or in exterior parking lots for weeks or months, again being exposed to the elements - at the dealership, the vehicles are almost always poorly prepped using the same dirty water that was used for all the cars on a given day, and poor washing and drying methods leading to swirls and scratches - at the dealership, a layer of cheap wax or paint sealant is usually applied to attempt to make the paint glossy prior to delivery. It's crucial to remove any previous protection before you apply a ceramic coating, as coatings need to bond directly to a virgin clear coat. If you only plan on applying a regular carnauba wax or paint sealant though, you could decide to skip machine polishing, as those protectants can be applied over existing protection and it's not as crucial to prep the paint as well. I explain all of this in this popular video: kzitem.info/news/bejne/sp2l36Z5Zmd0gJg So you can better visualize the new car prep process, here are the steps I perform on a brand new car for my customers: RS6 Avant Performance: kzitem.info/news/bejne/rWuJt2SQgnx0nWUsi=mcQiMs9HBLlaqjGK Mercedes S 580: kzitem.info/news/bejne/t6eV2pqZsKSqiX4si=whord2_UEFSg28UW Aston Martin Vantage: kzitem.info/news/bejne/sIGdx2evk4iFpKQ Volvo XC60: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1ax6qHabp5qKeXY Tesla Model Y: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yKWe0adusYJmgY4 Porsche 911 Carrera: kzitem.info/news/bejne/k5mhz52sm3iipmk Audi Q7: kzitem.info/news/bejne/1W1-qXaJj6CarYI

So,all and all ceramic coated car is always very much money demanding as a maintenance option-seen before with other "revolutionary" products. No,thank you!
@PanTheOrganizer
7 жыл бұрын
Actually, it would be the opposite. A consumer grade quality coating like CarPro CQuartz UK Edition only costs roughly 60$ US for the kit with Reload spray sealant and you can coat two cars with a 30 mL bottle. When you consider that the protection lasts 1 to 2 years, you have major cost savings as you don't have to reapply wax every 3 months or a paint sealant every 5-6 months. You're also saving time by not having to manually reapply waxes or sealants. So it depends how you see things. Personally, ceramic coatings (nano coatings in general) are great as they save you time in the long run, and added costs of having to reapply waxes and sealants. I also never look at costs when detailing cars, as a car is usually your second biggest expense in your life after your home, and needs to be taken care of. But to each his own, you're allowed to use any method you want to take care of your car. I show many different techniques in my videos. What do you do to yours?

@PanTheOrganizer
5 жыл бұрын
If this is hard for you, then you don't like washing or cleaning your car. My channel is geared towards those who are passionate about detailing. Yes a ceramic coating has self-cleaning properties, meaning the car is much easier to wash during maintenance washes. That doesn't mean that just pressure washing the dirt off leaves the car 100% clean. Who ever tells you that is full of crap. Things still cling to the paint, just a lot less thanks to the coating (compared to traditional waxes or paint sealants). That being said, you can get to 85% of the result of this video, in simply rinsing, then using a foam cannon with something like Griot's Garage Surface Foam Wash, then rinse and dry. 100% touchless system. I did a tutorial here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/paCiu46ke6Z9p5w But nothing will ever replace a proper hand wash done right.

hey pan quick tip on window washing, if you dry using a squeegee, instead of pulling straight down, you want to dry using a kind of swirl motion starting in a corner, swirling up and around the window, through the middle, and ending in a new corner. this will help prevent water marks on the window, and may help you with your washtimes.

Nice video. Unfortunately many people here in Montreal don't see this treatment as professional. There are many traditional car washes and you can see "esthétique automobile " but they don't have idea what is it. Dirty chamy , the same wash mitt for wheels and the the body paint, they use acid to remove heavy contamination on the paint etc, etc. Causing millions of scratches and swirls marks, even dealerships do that. People don't understand that they should apply at least high quality wax or sealant.
@PanTheOrganizer
7 жыл бұрын
I fully agree with you! It's unfortunate to see so called "pro" shops cut corners, do poor jobs, use cheap products to maximize profits and don't even stay up to date in the latest detailing technologies such as nano coatings. They misinform their customers and the result is a crappy job. Thankfully, people can look for authorized dealers of great companies like CarPro, GTechniq, Gyeon, Kamikaze Collection, Optimum Polymer Technologies, and others, so they can have pro coatings applied (Opti-coat Pro+, Gyeon Mohs+, CarPro CQuartz Finest, etc). That is one reason why I produce these videos, is to show my viewers proper techniques and products and also the latest technologies in car detailing products and equipment. They then get more education and know which questions to ask when they want to have their cars detailed by pros.
@lincolnjcm3198

Pan TheOrganizer that's totally right. Professional Car Detailing job is using last generation products, machines, new skills. And that takes time and money because of products, towels, everything is not cheap. As you showed in your video you use blower, high quality towels etc. I was working in Porsche dealership and the customers buy a new panamera for example, after less one year the car looks terrible paint defects.

First off, I love the car. I had a 2015 white on red 428 Grand Coupe with M Sport. I still love he lines of that car. I didn't see anything unique to washing a car with a ceramic coating. Two things I am wondering 1) does it say anywhere on that soap that it is recommended for ceramic coated cars and 2) When I got my car coated I was told that I shouldn't use any sealant, does the spray you used mention ceramic coated cars?
@PanTheOrganizer
7 жыл бұрын
+Thomas Sawyer Hi Thomas. Yes the BMW GC's lines won me over, and the driving dynamics too. 1) Yes the CarPro Reset shampoo has been specifically formulated for use to wash ceramic coatings, as are Gyeon Bathe, Fireball Snowfoam, and others. 2) It is true you don't add regular waxes or sealants to a coated car. You need to use SILICA spray sealants like I said in the video, like CarPro Reload. Silica (SiO2) is the main component of coatings so you're replenishing the SiO2 levels. Silica spray sealants have nothing to do with spray waxes and other similar products. You don't add waxes or sealants on top of coatings because you're acfecting the coating's performance by clogging molecules and changing the contact angle. I hope this answers your question.
@QnA22

Unfortunately these brands are not available in all countries. Could you explain a little bit more in detail what the shampoo actually is or definitely shouldn't be? For example, is it Ph neutral, alkaline, with or without shine properties(is that a good idea at all to have a shampoo with a gloss build in?), multi component or single etc. Keep up the good work, awesome vids!
