Can you show us where the front jack point is? I want to lift the front end evenly to put stands under the pinch welds.

How tight did you tighten the drain plug? I notice it says 31 pounds of torque but i also dont have a torque wrench

Just as tight as you can go without forcing it. You can always tighten and then once you start the car you can check for leaks and tighten more if needed

How come you added a washer to the plug? I didn't see you have to remove a "old washer" when you removed the plug, did you? Sorry for the question, i have a new GR and trying to understand the method behind this and why a washer was placed on it when placing the oil plug back on (if that's what you did). If i took my car to a 10 minute oil change, would they even know about this? Is the washer a necessary process and if they didn't do what you did, would it be a big mistake on their part which could compromise the integrity of the oil plug?

You could reuse your washer, since there should be one on with the plug from the factory. If you don’t use one at all, the plug could potentially leak since it would put your cars vibrations into the bolt which could loosen it.

@@RevolveAuto Was this your first time changing the oil in your car? My 86 is only a month old and i have two free oil changes with the dealerships. Some people opt to do it themselves and some go with the dealership, which im a bit nervous about because i like to see what's going on when my oil is being changed. Did you already use your free oil changes with the dealership? Not sure how new your car is. (wish you would have shown the drain plug gasket being removed and a new one put on)

Not that I’m aware. I have not checked the pickup, since Toyota voids your warranty if you do it by yourself
